Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals of Alabama !

At Phi Mu, our commitment to service is deeply rooted in the meaning of our creed: “to lend to those less fortunate a helping hand.” We are proud to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals of Alabama, a cause close to our hearts and central to our sisterhood’s mission. Every dollar we raise helps provide critical care, life-saving equipment, and support to children and their families right here in our community.

In 2024, our chapter raised an incredible $35,343 in support of CMN Hospitals. This achievement reflects the passion and dedication of our sisters and the generous spirit of our supporters.

Through every event and every dollar raised, we honor our commitment to making miracles happen.

A Letter From Our Philanthropy Chairwoman!

Hey y'all! My name is Sophia Taylor, and I have the privilege of serving as Phi Mu’s Philanthropy Chair for the Kappa Gamma chapter this year. Being in this role has been such an incredible experience, and it’s truly an honor to work with so many amazing people who push me to do my best and give it my all for our philanthropy. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has had a special place in my heart since my freshman year when I got the chance to assist with events and see the impact of our work. That experience made me fall even more in love with this cause and allowed me to truly understand the impact our organization has on the community. I’m excited to continue supporting CMNH and working alongside my sisters to make a difference! I’m beyond excited for what this year will bring as we continue to make a difference together!

Some of our favorite philanthropy events include Cookies for a Cause and Carnations for Kids, where we set up a table on campus to sell delicious cookies and flowers to students. Another special event is our Dodging for Miracles tournament—an exciting dodgeball competition that brings students from all over campus together to have fun while learning about Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. We’re especially fortunate to have a local CMNH in Birmingham, AL, which makes our mission even more meaningful. Not only do we get to raise funds and awareness for this amazing hospital, but we also have the privilege of forming direct connections with the children, families, and staff who benefit from the incredible care at CMNH.
